Accessible Holiday Cottages in the Norfolk Broads

We have six three-bedroom accessible cottages that open directly into a large, level-access courtyard. These spacious cottages are ideal for anyone looking for wheelchair-friendly accommodation, and we especially recommend them for full-time wheelchair users. The generous layout makes moving around easy and comfortable, offering a relaxed stay for guests with mobility challenges or disabilities, along with their companion or helper.

If you need specialist mobility equipment, such as hoists or hospital beds, these can be hired locally and delivered straight to your cottage. We’ll happily share supplier details to make organising your stay simple.

Two-Bedroom Accessible Options

Our two-bedroom cottages, Heron and Kestrel, are ideal for guests with mobility issues who do not require a full-time wheelchair. They offer practical, comfortable layouts with many accessible features, but with smaller living areas than the three-bedroom cottages.

• Door ways | Width for the Bedroom and Wet room 30inches/ 76cm – Wet room door is on lift off hinges for easier access
• Beds | Height from floor to the top of the bed is 21inches/ 53cm
• Toilet | Height from floor to the top of the seat is 16inches/ 41cm

Hall Farm Cottages cater for various disabled groups each year, and we support local and national disabled organisations. One such organisation is the Changing Places Consortium.

Changing Places Consortium

Changing Places was launched to help those with difficulty accessing standard toilets, their aim is to have toilet facilities available nationwide, with ample accessibility for a disabled person and their carers, including a height adjustable changing bench and a hoist.
