Let the Festive Fun Begin at Our Holiday Cottages in Norfolk

Festive cheer hits Hall Farm holiday cottages in Norfolk

WOW! It’s really starting to feel festive down at Hall Farm. We’ve just returned from the Norwich Christmas lights switch-on and were delighted to see special guest, Paralympic archer, Mel Clarke doing the honours. With the city alight, we’re officially counting down to Christmas and are sure it will be a magical time for all, especially those visiting our holiday cottages in Norfolk this year! With a distinct chill in the air, our guests are turning up the temperature and getting cosy with a mug of cocoa – after they’ve been to all the great local events Norfolk has to offer of course!

If you’re feeling as festive as we are, head down to the Victorian Christmas Fair at Horning Village Hall this Saturday (24th). With craft stalls, refreshments, cakes and a tombola in aid of Horning Community Primary School it’s a great chance to pick up some hand-made gifts and support the local community.

For those intent on Christmas shopping, take a trip to St Catherine’s Church for their Christmas Craft Market (Saturday 24th). With pottery, jewellery, paintings and hand-made cards galore, you’ll be spoilt for choice!

For those who aren’t feeling quite as festive just yet, head down to the Waveney River Centre for a spot of birdwatching on Breydon Water (Saturday 24th). Skipper Paul and his first mate Heidi will welcome you onboard the Betsie Jane. A classic gentleman’s launch from the 1930’s, you’ll have chance to spot golden plovers, black tailed godwits, widgeons, egrets and more. Departing at 9.30am and with activities scheduled until 5.30pm, it’s a fun filled day that the whole family will enjoy.

Head down to Great Yarmouth Market Place on Wednesday 28th and enjoy their Christmas lights switch on. With festive illuminations and a rooftop firework display, we guarantee you’ll be ‘oooh-ing’ and ‘ahh-ing’ from 6.30pm onwards. With live music and Heart FM breakfast show presenters, Rob and Chrissie hosting the evening, it’s a great chance to get into the Christmas spirit and indulge in a little late night shopping too.

We can’t help but enjoy the festive season here at Hall Farm, especially when we are know our guests will love their holiday cottages Norfolk as much as we do! There’s nothing better than getting away at the end of a busy year and enjoying quality time with your loved ones.
