From Hollywood to Norfolk

We’re very excited here at Hall Farm Cottages in Norfolk and I bet you can’t guess why? Well, we can’t hold the excitement in much longer so we’re just going to come out and say it. Norfolk will be home to a brand new Hollywood film called ‘45 Years’, which has already been predicted to be a BAFTA award winner.

45 Years beautifully tells the story about a married couple who are deeply in love until an unexpected letter from the past arrives, which sadly covers their future with a dark grey cloud… We don’t want to reveal any more about the plot for this film, but it’s certainly set to tug on your heart strings and open up your emotions through this heartfelt story.

Norfolk has been home to many blockbuster films including ‘Shakespeare in Love’ shot at Holkman Beach, ‘All the King’s Men’ at Sandringham and ‘Alpha Papa’ shot throughout Norfolk. So naturally, when the news arrived at Hall Farm Cottages in Norfolk that another film is to be directed and produced in our county, you can imagine the excitement that was brought to us!

The film’s excitement doesn’t stop there. Due to Norfolk’s picturesque scenery, stunning beaches, historic city streets, buildings and market towns, and of course, our untouched stately homes, it’s no surprise that October Films wants to open another set of offices here in Norfolk. Their office location includes London and New York.

We can’t wait to see 45 Years in our local cinemas, and what a great treat it will be for you too, to be able to watch a locally produced film on the big screen during your visit to our county and stay in one of our homely cottages in Norfolk.

We’ll keep an eye out for filming and you never know, Hall Farm Cottages in Norfolk might just be featured in 45 Years, or perhaps the next Norfolk based film.
