Horning and Norfolk Broads news

With the weather hopefully looking reasonably good for the upcoming long weekend, the Hall Farm team would like to point out a few events that are happening in and around Horning and the surrounding Norfolk Broads area.

In the beautiful village of Potter Heigham on Sunday at Longmeadow, Marsh Road : Open garden ,35 acres of mixed planting. Parking available near the church, it’s free entry and open 2-5pm.

Also available in the village is a Broadland crafts day at St Nicholas Church 10am-5pm , don’t forget to feed the ducks and grab some fish and chips.

In the village of Strumpshaw there is a flower festival on Sunday from 1-5pm and you can take a trip to the fantastic steam museum for the steam rally, 9.30am-5pm £8/children £2 (13-15) including museum entry.

If you fancy a trip to the coast for some culture there is a flower festival in Waxham at St John’s Church with a sea theme and stalls. Running from 12pm-4pm, proceeds friends of St John’s Church.

On Bank Holiday Monday, if it’s adventure you are looking for,   you can take a trip out to Bewilderwood adventure playground. Situated between Wroxham and Horning join in the fun for Minty’s birthday party, party games and activities. Join in from 10am normal admission applies.

If you are looking for shopping in the Horning area of the broads, then it is definitely Roys of Wroxham local food fair,stalls with 20-plus local food and drink producers, tastings advice. Open 10am -4pm.
