Royalty closer to home

cottages in Norfolk

Norfolk is graced with beautiful scenery, but it’s not just our natural surroundings that have been attracting visitors, it’s a very exclusive stately home that is owned by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The royal home situates on the exquisite Queen’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, and although the couple have granted a no-fly zone over Anmer Hall, they have revealed an exclusive insight to their Georgian mansion.

Anmer Hall was a gift to the Duke and Duchess from the Queen. The home includes a swimming pool and a private tennis court as well as 10 bedrooms. The home was initially just a holiday home in the country for the couple to visit, but since the birth of Princess Charlotte, their Norfolk home has become their primary location for full time residence due to Prince William’s family commitments. We couldn’t be happier here at Hall Farm Cottages in Norfolk.

The tennis court has been updated with artificial grass and several million pounds has been spent on the Georgian home. This includes a new kitchen and a glazed garden room. Anmer Hall has been fitted with a new orange roof. The refurbishments are to help provide more privacy for the royal family, which is understandable. Privacy is something that we also provide for all of our guests who stay in our cottages in Norfolk, but of course we’ll be available if you need us J

We’re so excited that the Dutch and Duchess of Cambridge have decided to make Norfolk their home, and we’re sure that they will get as much privacy as they want too.

Norfolk attracts all sorts of visitors, and if you will be visiting Norfolk over the next few months then may we suggest a stay in one of our cottages in Norfolk? Contact Hall Farm for more information.
