When you are looking for the holiday cottage that's right for you and family, it's…
There’ll be no April showers in Norfolk
Did you all have a good Easter? We certainly did and our guests seemed to have had a packed weekend with fun activities for the children (and parents!) to enjoy. We love seeing happy faces at our cottages in Norfolk!
Without jinxing it, the weather in April seems to be on to a winner with glorious sunshine and warm temperatures – well in Norfolk anyway! In all honesty, we’ve always been quite lucky with the sun gracing us with magnificent weather at the Broads, so who are we to moan? Our cottages in Norfolk always welcome their guests with open arms and if you were planning on visiting us this month, then you certainly won’t be stuck for things to do.
If you have a fondness for the art, culture and history, you’ll love these two exclusive events. Up until 12th April, you can enjoy the wonders of 19th and 20th century renowned Broadland painters including Charles Harmony at the Waterways Art and Nature on Broads, Time & Tide. The event will be celebrating the beautiful natural environment the Norfolk Broads aren’t afraid to show off. Or you can head over to the Homage to Monet at Norwich Castle. They’ll be showcasing a museum and art gallery to discover the wonders and influences of the most important and controversial artists of modern times. Norwich Castle is a historical beaut and if you get the chance to visit it, you won’t be disappointed.
If you wanted to stay in one of our cottages in Norfolk and preferred to have a more family orientated experience at the Broads, then you might enjoy these upcoming events. You can take the kids to bottle feed the sweet baby lambs at Wroxham Barns – they’re one of the few farms that allow the public to feed their lambs and it’s truly an experience not to miss out on. Just try not to get too attached to the cute lambs! Between 11th and 12th April, Norfolk will be home to the Steam Punk Weekend at Bressingham. There’ll be a steampunk market, storytelling, gauge steam railways and umbrella fencing. Yep, you heard us right, umbrella fencing! It’s so much fun, trust us! Or you can head down to the East Anglian Game and Country Fair on 25th-26th April, for a two day family event.
There’s so much happening at Norfolk at the moment; it’s the season of the Crower crabs, the gorgeous bluebells at Blickling, Foxley Wood have blossomed and there’s also the popular Burnham Deepdale Outdoor Festival.
Phew! We got there in the end! For more information about events happening Norfolk, just head over to Visit Norfolk’s website.
