What’s happening in The Broads?!

As usual there’s lots happening in Norfolk and for a small Village it’s quite bustling if I do say so myself! We’ve all got a spring in our step and a smile on our face now the snow has gone…

With Mother’s day around the corner it’s only right to give Mum a treat, so why not book her some “me time” at one of our Norfolk holiday cottages, all Mum’s are special and our offer celebrates this with a free bottle of wine or delicious chocolates.  Mother’s Day escapes are available to purchase as vouchers which will be redeemable throughout the year; choose from a short weekend stay or a week full of fresh air, our cottages provide the perfect ambience for relaxation…

Something for the old steam train lovers at Bure Valley Railway, a volunteers open weekend will be hosted from 10am-4pm to meet retired and existing staff members, see the work put into running Britain’s steam trains and if you’re lucky you may even get to drive the old engine itself!

Join the East Coast Pirates Car Club throughout the summer at The Anchor Plaza to see some of the finest classic vehicles ever to be produced by Uncle Sam. Visitors at the shows can expect to see classic Hot Rods, Harley Davidson bikes and trikes, along with many other all American classics. It’s perfect for enthusiasts and just for fun!

Get ready to be transported to Venice with an atmospheric concert and help raise vital funds for CPRE Norfolk, at The Marble Hall on Sunday 3rd March 2013. The Campaign to Protect Rural England will set the stage for Spring in Venice: ‘A Celebration of Music from La Serenissima’ which will see performances by Tenor Andrés Hernández-Salazar and Soprano Jayne May-Sysum, accompanied by pianist Lawrence Tao the program also includes arias by Vivaldi and Rossini and songs in Venetian dialect.  Tickets include a glass of wine £20- CPRE members, £22.50 for non-members.  Tickets can be booked by calling 01603 761660

Embark on a guided walk discovering the tracks and trails left behind by animals at Stumpshaw Nature Reserve and Fen. Search for deer footprints, otter spraints, and other signs of wild activities. Suitable for adults and older children, it’s a fun way of spending family time together.  Boking is essential and ticket prices vary.
