Brilliant Broads

Although it’s wet, cold and gloomy out there it’s not going to stop us from enjoying the Broads Outdoor Festival, is it? This is what the great outdoors are about; exploring and enjoying everything mother nature throws at you… and if what she’s throwing is hail stones, then we must take them on the chin, nose, head and everywhere else they hit us too (they surprisingly hurt =/…)

So what have the Broads got in-store for you this week? Starting today then you get experience the beauty of Raveningham Hall as you stroll through an abundance of flora, explore the Victorian glass-houses, herb and arboretum gardens and of course the stunning 14th century church, an enjoyable afternoon for all the family including the dog (must be kept on lead) awaits you!

As you know the Broads are famed for their magical waters, so Thursday the 15th May has something special set up for you, experience the wondrous waters with a boat tour costing £30 for the whole day. Meeting at Wherry Base along Horsefen Road in Ludham at 9am, remember to wear  waterproof clothing and appropriate footwear, a camera to catch the beauty of the Broads and of course a pair of binoculars to catch a closer peak of the wildlife…

There’s a lot to get up to over the whole weekend, with 12 events taking place you’ll be spoilt for choice and as it’s the end of the Broads outdoor festival a good time is guaranteed! Choose from boat trips, canoe trails, wildlife walks, family fun activities, train rides and much more… There’ll be food, drink and merriment all around.
