A Dog Friendly Summer Getaway
Dog owners face one of the only hardships of summer – what to do with the dog. Well, here is an easy solution, take your pooch with you! Our holiday cottages in Norfolk facilitate for dogs, taking away any stress you’ve been feeling, as well as cutting unnecessary kennel costs.
No one understands the truest, most unconditional kind of love quite like a dog owner. People become dog owners at different times of their lives; there are those who become dog owners as children, at Christmas time when they’re parents make their dreams come true with the fluffiest puppy they’ve ever seen. And then there are those who become dog owners slightly later, perhaps as a couple who are in the stage where getting a dog seems easier than a child.
But whether the dog is an addition to an already established family or is the foundation of how the family begins, there is one thing all dog owners can agree on – dogs are the glue that holds the family together. Of course parents love us unconditionally, but they can also make us go a little crazy at times, and vice versa. Dogs on the other hand, make us feel okay in the times we are alone, the times even our family can’t make anything better. As John Grogan, the author of Marley and Me says, “A dog doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his.” And it really is as simple as that.
Being dog lovers ourselves here at Hall Farm Cottages, we run our holiday cottages in Norfolk with the knowledge of the predicament dog owners face when the temptation to get away for the weekend creeps in. Your options are limited: your overly enthusiastic dog loving yet not dog owning neighbour will likely jump at the chance to take care of your pooch whilst you’re away, but the prospect of such a person taking care of them unnerves you slightly. Fear seeps in that upon your return home your crazed neighbour has fled the country, with your dog. There are also kennels that will take care of our dogs, if take care means walking your dog for 10 minutes a day. Believe me, I’ve worked at a kennels before.
That’s why we’ve worked hard to make our holiday cottages in Norfolk just as dog friendly as they are human friendly; your dog’s safety is extremely important to us and we want to make your getaway as hassle-free as possible, so we have built two secure dog kennels to keep your dogs safe as you explore the wilderness of Norfolk, or better yet, get them in on the action! There are plenty of dog friendly walks, attractions and even pubs that can be found here.
We look forward to hearing from you fellow dog lovers who are craving a weekend away to get your dose of summer adventure. For bookings and enquiries, give us a call at 01692 630385.
