This week is about the wet, the wonderful, the wild and the wicked in Norfolk. We’re going green and celebrating all nature has to offer in our beautiful Broads. As the largest natural Broads in England, you can be sure to find an abundance of amazement everywhere you look…

To kick things off and get you excited for your wonderful bed and breakfast holiday in Norfolk, we’re going to give you a few nature filled activities you can embark on and enjoy. With lush landscapes and beautiful flora wandering through the many flower fields is as soothing as can be, however if you fancy getting hands-on then the Pond-dipping day at RSPB Norfolk is perfect for the whole family, join in this Thursday 15th August at 1pm-4pm. From just £3.50 for adults and £1.50 for children look out for diving beetles and water scorpions amongst the many creepy crawlies, and create your own wildlife homes to take back your own garden!

Now for some good old fashioned fun in the woodlands for the whole family, organised by one of our favourites here in the Broads, www.thecanoeman.com this 2 hour excursions includes activities such as den building, campfire cooking and exploration games to name a few. Mellow it down a bit with a relaxing stroll through wildflower filled meadows on a summer’s evening. Enjoy the gentle passing breeze as you explore the amazing dragonflies and butterflies that thrive at Strumpshaw Fen.  Learn about their fascinating life cycles and behaviour with an expert guide.
