It looks like the heavens are confused with outbursts of sunshine and sudden showers of heavy rain, even the weather God’s can’t make up their mind; a typical summer in Britain then ey? Instead of sitting indoors when the clouds are watering the earth, why not come to the Norfolk Broads and enjoy a different kind of summer holiday with our dog friendly holiday cottages in Norfolk?!
There’s always something going on, on this side of the country, this week we celebrating everything wet, wild and wonderful about the Broads. Get involved at Wells Beach (follow the signs from the car park) for a few hours of educational fun! Entry is £2, Children must be accompanied adults, booking isn’t necessary! The event takes place each Friday in August APART from the 16th August, times are 11am-1pm or 2pm-4pm.
Who doesn’t like aquariums hey, discovering the underwater world is truly magical but the Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre has something truly spectacular on this Friday 9th – Wednesday 14th August. CBeebies’ famous Octonauts will be making appearances, and young children smile!
This week we have The Broads Family Day at the Museum, revel the wonderful Norfolk and Suffolk Broads. Meet the enthusiasts who keep alive the ‘spirit of the Broads’, enjoy the children’s activities, explore the many Broads groups and organisations, and go on board a wherry and enjoy short river trip on our Victorian Steam Launch, ‘Falcon’. Savour a BBQ lunch cooked by Museum volunteers for a truly summer feel! Entry for adults is £3 and £2.50 for children, the event takes place from 10am-4pm on Sunday 11th August.
Now the children have had their fun, they’re all tired out and have agreed to behave in our dog friendly holiday cottages in Norfolk, so you the parents can have your fun too! If you’re a fan of Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and other such Swing Kings and Queens the boogie your way down to Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden this Sunday at 2pm. Entry is £6 adult; £5.50 conc.; £3.50 child; under 5s free; dogs 25p. Free to members. No need to book. C’mon on down for some singing fun!
