Norfolk Broads – Enjoy this weeks fabulous events

Another month is upon us and let’s hope we can sustain a bit of good weather, August is traditionally known as the best month for sun so everything crossed for good weather for our guests this month.

There are plenty of events and attractions happening in and around the Norfolk Broads and coastal area over the coming weeks.

We have picked out a few events that we think will be of interest to our visitors.

Today Sunday 1st in Happisburgh there is a fete and Lifeboat day at the Lifeboat station, between 1-5pm with food and refreshments available, a short drive from our holiday cottages.

In our own beautiful village of Horning, at St Benet’s Abbey today is the annual service at 3.30pm, conducted by the Abbot of St Benet’s Abbey and the bishop of Norwich Rt Rev Graham James. There is a guided tour afterwards by the Norfolk Archaeological Trust.

If you are looking for Sunday fun for the Children, head down the road to Norwich to Eaton Park, find the big butterfly , walks and fun for the children between 10-5pm, the kids can enjoy a ride on the miniature railway. Also in Norwich weekdays until 13th August is the amazing street performers at the Forum. Artists include the Cockney Awkestra and upside down artist Jon Hicks.

If you love the coast and festivals then Mundesley is the place for you this coming week, starting today at 7.45pm is the annual festival full of music and laughter for everyone. The Coronation Hall is the venue in cromer road next to the church . This years charity is Help For Heroes, well worth supporting.

On Wednesday the beautiful Felbrigg Hall has a Chilli Fiesta and Fete 11am – 5pm,  from here head over to the coast of Sheringham for the Carnival day,  with the children on holidays what better way to spend the afternoon.

After a days actvity it is always nice to come and relax in the heart of the broads.
