The walk of a lifetime

dog-friendly-669x250

Dogs love a good walk. Give them an open field or take them on a walking hike and they are buzzing. Their tails will wag with excitement and you’ll become their favourite person! Do you know where dogs would love to go on a walking holiday? The Broads and Hall Farm have dog friendly holiday cottages in Norfolk available too.

Bacton Wood is the most idealistic place to take your dog out for a walk or a run around. The area is filled with friendly dog owners and more importantly, very happy dogs! Bacton Wood’s still has two Sessile Oaks standing strong, which are said to be over 200 years old. There are over 30 species of trees in these woodlands such as Scots and Corsican Pine, Western Hemlock, Douglas Fir and Larch. After a day at Bacton Wood’s, your furry four-legged friend will love nothing more than coming back to relax at our dog friendly holiday cottages in Norfolk.

Of course, visiting these woods is hungry and thirsty work and we can’t recommend enough, treating yourself to some traditional fish and chips from The Kingfisher Café in Walcott (NR12 0AP). It’s the perfect way to sit back and relax after a strenuous day of sight-seeing and walking – and the most enjoyable sleep at our super comfy beds in our dog friendly holiday cottages in Norfolk. You’ll get a good night’s sleep too!

Bacton Wood is owned by the Forestry Commission and is managed by North Norfolk District Council. Together, both organisations have formed the Bacton Woods Countryside Partnership Project. With over 280 acres, your dog will be in its element!

So if you’re looking for a holiday but don’t want to leave your dog alone, then Norfolk is the perfect destination for you all. With our dog friend holiday cottages in Norfolk and Bacton Wood, you’ll have the most enjoyable holiday! Happy dog walking!
